• - Copy recipe link {">"} go to NNU app{">"}Recipe & Nutrition{">"}Click on the + sign{">"} Save Recipe Link. The recipe link should already be copied for you in the download box. Just click on download and the recipe will download, check all the data has transferred over correctly, else make changes (all websites are not the same so its preferable to check if the data has come in correct), and voila you now have the recipe saved. The Nnu app will also automatically calculate the calorific values of each ingredient, to give you calorie and nutrition details per serving.
• - Handwritten Recipe? Click on the + sign{">"}Create New Recipe, then just take a picture of the written recipe to save it as an image. You can then save the recipe by giving it a title manually. You can also manually add or edit other information for the recipe.
• - YouTube Video only? Click on the + sign{">"}Create New Recipe or Click on the + sign{">"} Quick Save and just copy and paste the YouTube URL of the recipe video in the media section of the recipe. Manually add or edit other information about the recipe and then save the recipe. You can access the written part of the recipe offline. However, for accessing the video link, you will need an active internet connection.
• - Create You Own? Manually Click on the create own link. Name: Give your recipe a name Category: Select from Appetizer, Main, Dessert, Snack Add Media: If you have a photo(s) of your recipe, or have a YouTube video link, then add it here. Prep time: Add how long it takes to prep ingredients in minutes or hours (i.e. 20 minutes) Cook time: Add how long it takes to cook the recipe in minutes or hours (i.e. 30 minutes) Servings: Add the number of servings your recipe yields (i.e. 6 servings) Ingredients: Add each ingredient in your recipe. To save time, you can copy and paste multiple ingredients at once. Remember to give correct quantities for each ingredient as it helps calculate the recipe calories correctly. Description / Notes: Add a brief description of your recipe, notes, helpful tips, serving suggestions, or anything else you might like to jot down about your recipe. Directions: Begin adding recipe instructions one step at a time. You can also copy and paste multiple instruction steps at once. Tags: Add tags for the recipe from the given keyword list or add your own. E.g.: Vegan, Gluten-free, Japanese, Indian, etc. Click on Done to save recipe

Yes, your recipes will be available for use in an offline mode. Please note that any changes you make, will not save to the server while your phone is offline.

Yes, you can search for recipes by Ingredients/Category/Tags/Title.

Yes, you can share recipes via email, text, WhatsApp, and on social media. If the recipient is also a Nnu app user, then they can save it in their Nnu app.

When you save a recipe from a website, Nnu makes its best effort to automatically detect and parse the content on the page. There are several reasons why Nnu might not be able to detect the info, even if you can see it on the page. For example: Title and ingredients are not available or not parse-able. Ingredients and instructions are listed in a non-typical manner. Even if a recipe can't be saved automatically, you'll still be able to copy and paste the details into the edit recipe screen and save it manually. Additionally, we request you to contact our support team with the URL of the recipe you are trying to save and we’ll look into adding it to the list of supported websites.

Our research shows that aisles change by grocery stores and hence saving items by aisles can be misleading in some cases. Hence, we save ingredients by common product categories like Dairy, Produce, Meats etc. The categories are common to all grocery stores and allows you shop ingredients available in that common area and be efficient in your grocery shopping.

From your shopping list, tap the ingredient. Then from the menu, tap the quantity field. Choose a quantity and unit of measurement. Then, press Save.

Currently, Nnu has a limited number of items that will show up in autocomplete. However, as long as you enter and spell the item correctly, Nnu will correctly categorize the item even though it does not show up in autocomplete. We are constantly striving to improve the app.
